James Jay Armstrong After an extended Illness, James Jay Armstrong passed away Thursday, August 14, 2024 at the Home of the Good Shepherd in Saratoga Springs, New York. He was born February 20, 1952 in Buffalo, NY, the son of Jay Earl Armstrong and Louise Carolyn Armstrong (Unger).
James graduated from Pioneer Central School, Yorkshire, NY in 1970, from State University of Buffalo in 1987, and also attended State University of Geneseo for Real Estate Sales Training. He worked at Bethlehem Steel in Lackawanna from 1973 to 1983, Pioneer Land Sales from 1983 to 1986, M J Peterson for a year, and Christopher Communities, Inc. After a long career, he retired from the New York State Housing Authority, Urban Planning and Renewal.

Brenda K. Sweet, 70, of 4250 Witter Road, Cuba, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2024 at Olean General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born on May 5, 1954, in Olean, she was a daughter of Clarence F. and Lauretta (Pilon) Barrett, Jr. On January 16, 1993, in Cuba, she married Lanny A. Sweet, who survives.
Brenda was a graduate of Bolivar Central School and Jamestown Community College with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Psychology.
She worked all of her career in the banking industry and retired from Fleet Bank in Cuba. She was also a part time bartender for the Cuba VFW Post 2721.

Born August 9, 1945, in Columbia, PA, he was the son of John and Helen Gohn Hart. On August 20, 1965, in Lititz, he married the former Shireen “Sherry” Bealler, who survives. A machinist, he was employed by Woodstream from 1962 — 1967 and Machinery Products from 1967 — 1992. He owned and operated GAM Manufacturing in Lancaster from 1997 until his retirement. Barry was a member of the Manheim Masonic Lodge, Masonic Auto Unit, and several bowling leagues. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, boating, water-skiing, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, and riding motorcycle.

She was predeceased by her husband, William A. Little, a native of Potter Brook, PA; her parents, Merle and Mary Kinney Damon; and two sisters, Patricia A. Fitch and Winifred E. “Winnie” Zeches. Surviving are: two daughters, Mary Grace Little and Karen Little, both of Rochester; two sisters, Muriel Archer of Thousand Oaks, CA and Loretta (Ron) Hiller of Fowlerville, MI; nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was an elementary school teacher in the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District for many years.She was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Seneca and Faith Bible Church, Rochester. She served faithfully as a choir member and Sunday School teacher for many years.Her interests included baking and playing the violin.

Jo was employed with the former New Process Company and National Forge Company, retiring from Warren State Hospital in 1988. She was member of St. Joseph R.C. Church. Josephine was a volunteer with W.C.A. Hospital, Jamestown, New York, Warren General Hospital and the Warren Senior Center.

He was born October 9, 1967, in Sellersville, PA, to David N and Betty Louise (MacLaughlin) Delp. Brian had an extensive and varied vocational history, from fast food and retail work, to working for Ward Manufacturing, GTE and Corning, he worked as a lineman for the phone company, a corrections officer for Tioga County, a DJ for WNBT, a food broker, two tours as a commercial fisherman in Alaska, and finally he worked as a team leader in materials management for UPMC. On July 4, 2021 he married Michelle Leatherman.

Clair William Heidlebaugh Jr., of York, PA, passed away in Potter County on July 11, 2024, as the result of a medical condition. Clair was known as Herb since childhood by relatives and friends.
Herb was born on July 4, 1948, in Adams County to Clair W. Heidlebaugh Sr., and Laura (Shue) Heidlebaugh, and was a stepson to Mary Jane Heidlebaugh after Laura’s passing.
Herb graduated from York County Vocational Technical School (now York County School of Technology) in the electronics program. After graduation he proudly served in the U.S. Army obtaining the rank of sergeant while serving in Vietnam where he was wounded in combat several times and earned multiple medals which include a Vietnam Service Medal w/ 2 Bronze Service Stars, a Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/ Palm, an Air Medal w/ Oak Leaf, a Bronze Star, a Purple Heart and The Army Commendation Medal. Herb was honorably discharged at the end of his service.

Patti was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, a cook at the Tioga County Prison, an avid NASCAR fan especially following Jeff Gordon. Patti also participated in FFA, loved to crochet and solve crossword puzzles.
Patti is survived by her husband; a son: Billy Davis of Morris; a daughter: Margaret Irene Miller (Derrick) of Liberty; grandchildren: Savana Miller, and Simone Miller; parents Joseph and Anita Bohnert of Morris; brother: Joe Bohnert, Jr. (Debbie) of Morris; sisters: Suzie (Alan) Phillips of Morris, and Donna Joe (George) Jones of NC; nephews: Sam Bohnert, and Steve Bohnert. She is preceded in death by her infant sister Shirley Bohnert.

He retired from Corning Inc., enjoyed hunting and trapping and was a former member of the Bath and Elmira Coin Clubs. Bob was an avid collector; he collected US and World Coins, wildlife art and guns.

Born on September 11, 1942, Wellsville, New York she was a daughter of Lawrence W. and Helen C. Walter Harmon.
Urma was a graduate of Richburg Central School. She had been employed by Acme Electric Corp. of Cuba for many years prior to her retirement.
She like to read, pink and purple were her favorite colors, the rose was her favorite flower and spending time her family and friends brought her endless joy. She looked forward to the monthly Acme retirement luncheons and connecting with her past coworkers, riding through the country and watching the wildlife from her front porch. Throughout her life she was a true animal lover and raised many cats that brought her great joy.

He was born on June 14, 1953 in Blossburg, PA, a son of the late Robert and Doris (Smith) Tillotson and was married to Sandy L. (Clark) Tillotson. Bill was formerly employed by Dietrich’s Milk Products, Middlebury Center, PA. He was a member of the REMF, the MCH hunting club, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on farms and was a football and baseball fan.
He is survived by his wife: Sandy Tillotson of Wellsboro, PA, stepsons: Tom (Beverly) Cleveland, Kevin Cleveland, both of Wellsboro, PA, step-daughter: Tammie (George) Hill of Wellsboro, PA, brother: Robert (Ursula) Tillotson of Germany, sister: Sherry Brooks of Wellsboro, PA, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters: Viola Gorda, Roberta Dixon and a brother: Paul Tillotson.
