Why won't Spectrum take my payment? ›

Check the information provided (card holder, expiry date, billing address...) are correct and correspond to your card details. Make sure the security code, the three-digit number that's on the back of your card, has been typed correctly. The payment may have been rejected for other reasons.

Make sure your modem is set up properly and that there aren't any loose or damaged connections. Verify that you're using your Spectrum-issued modem. Move closer to your WiFi router. You'll get the best WiFi signal within roughly 125 feet from the router.

Important Billing Information

If your account balance remains unpaid, your service will be suspended after 62 days.

Failure to pay charges by the due date on the billing statement (including checks returned for insufficient funds) may result in suspension or disconnection of all Services, the removal of all Equipment and/or imposition of a late payment or service charge.

Have you installed all updates for your device's operating system? Try restarting your laptop or turning off your device and waiting 60 seconds before turning it back on. If you're using the Spectrum TV app and turning off your device didn't help, uninstall and reinstall the app.

If the automated message asks you to dial a number, press "0" once or 20 times. You can also wait for the call to direct you to an operator. If the message asks you to speak into the microphone, say "I would like to speak to a person" or "complaint." If that doesn't work, mumble until it sends you to customer service.

Open the My Spectrum App, and sign in with your username and password. Select Services. Your equipment will be listed there with either a status of “Connected,” “Unavailable” or “Connection Issue.” If you see a “Connection Issue” status next to your equipment, tap it.

One-time online credit card payment

To ensure accurate and timely processing of your payment, be sure to enter the Account Number found at the top of your Spectrum Enterprise bill. Be aware that payments made through this platform can take up to 5 business days to post to your account.

Spectrum will shut off your internet service after 62 days if your account balance remains unpaid. This means that you have 62 days from the due date of your bill to make a payment before Spectrum will disconnect your service.

Spectrum internet late payment fee: $8.95 per missed payment

If you miss paying your internet bill, Spectrum gives you a 30-day grace period to pay before incurring a late fee.
